Joshua - who had previously completed mason bee house cleaning training with Plant Amnesty - led our team in this endeavor.
Continued learning and environmental stewardship are two important pillars of our company. This inspired us to spend our Halloween washing, harvesting, and storing mason bee cocoons!
For each column, we discarded parasitic wasp larvae and cocoons that did not reach maturity.
Next, we cleaned each cocoon using a toothbrush to prevent the spread of disease and parasites.
